Asharqia Chamber and in cooperation with the Public Transport Authority will organize a workshop on Sunday, October 21, 2018, entitled "Mechanisms for the application of the Regulations on the Transport of Goods, Freight Brokers and Truck Leasing" at the headquarter of the Chamber in Dammam at 10 am.
A member of the board of directors of the Logistics Committee, Bandar bin Rafi al-Jabri, said that the workshop aims to identify the new mechanism and discuss directly with the specialists of the Authority to achieve the practical compatibility of the parties.
He pointed out that the comments and proposals put forward aim to improve the performance in the sector and come out in a format that regulates the activity of transporting goods and freight brokers through raising the professionalism of drivers and the operational capacity of trucks.
Al-Jabri pointed to the size of mutual and effective partnership between the Public Transport Authority and the private sector.
He stressed that this cooperation is keen to develop the sector and raise the level of its contribution to the national economy.
He emphasized the role of the transport sector in driving the economic movement and providing logistical services to the various productive and service sectors in addition to the job opportunities that would be provided to beneficiaries from citizens and local investors.
